Are Members of Long-Lived Families Healthier Than Their Equally Long-Lived Peers? Evidence From the Long Life Family Study.

Membership in a long-lived family appears to have benefits beyond just aging benefits. Common, severe mortality-associated diseases are less prevalent in biologic members of a long-lived family, and in addition their spouses also tend to be relatively healthy.  (J Gerontol A Biol Sci Med Sci. 2015 Mar 5.)
